Cullercoats lifeboat station, to the north of the Tyne, operates a new state-of-the-art Atlantic 85 lifeboat from a modern lifeboat house, and provides a rapid response to incidents around the Whitley Bay and Tynemouth areas. The current Atlantic craft is the latest in a long line of lifeboats which have served the area and operated by a dedicated team of volunteers.
