Looe lifeboat station has a fine record of gallantry, and the volunteer lifeboat crews have undertaken many rescues. The station operates two state-of-the-art inshore lifeboats from a modern lifeboat house, providing a rapid response to incidents along the beautiful coastline of south Cornwall. This book records the history of the station, covering the era of the pulling and sailing lifeboats, the establishment of the modern lifeboat station in the 1990s, and the upgrading of facilities for operations in the 21st century.
